Indiana Cops Do Something Incredible for Daughter of Fallen Trooper, 10 Years After His Passing

Some of the bravest men and women of our community are our police officers. They put their life on the line on a daily basis to keep us safe and protected.

Sometimes, they even sacrifice their own lives in the line of duty. Dave Rich, a hero and a Master Trooper Detective, did just that in 2007 when he died in the line of duty.

However, his fellow officers were not going to forget about him of his family. 10 years later, they did something amazing for his little girl.

"Lauren Rich had 39 police officers from six police departments in Indiana at her Southwood Junior-Senior High School graduation on Saturday. Sgt. Tony Slocum, public information officer for Indiana State police, said Lauren’s father, Master Trooper Detective Dave Rich, was shot and killed in 2007," reported Fox.

"Lauren Rich was 7 when her dad Master Trooper Detective Dave Rich was killed in the line of duty. Today she graduated from high school with 39 of her dads friends, from six police departments, in attendance. Congrats Lauren, we promise we will never forget your families sacrifice," wrote Sgt. Tony Slocum on Twitter.

"Slocum called Lauren’s father an 'awesome guy' and said Rich would have been proud of the 'great young lady' his daughter has become," reported Fox.
