Over the weekend, a 30-year-old man originally from Los Angeles California — Timmy Kinner — targeted a 3-year-old’s birthday party in Boise, Idaho. As reported earlier, Kinner went on a “stabbing rampage” in a local apartment complex stabbing six children — including the birthday girl — and several other adults.
The complex was home to several refugee families from Syria, Iraq, and Ethiopia. Many victims from the incident remain being treated in the hospital.
Unfortunately, one of the victims — the 3-year-old birthday girl — was confirmed to be dead on Monday, reported Idaho News. The young child was identified as Ruya Kadir from Ethiopia.
Amidst the tragic news, new details have also been released regarding Kinner’s motive. According to a video clip from TODAY, local authorities believe he was motivated by vengeance; he was reportedly asked to leave the apartment complex recently.
Kinner is now being charged with first-degree murder in addition to several other charges including nine counts of felony aggravated battery and six counts of felony injury to a child.
