Ian Ziering took to Instagram over the weekend to mourn the passing of his TV dad. This is the second loss for the "Beverly Hills, 90210" family in a single week.
Ziering played the son of Allan's Rush Sanders, Steve Sanders, on the popular show. He remembered the five years working alongside Allan and said he'd miss him.
He wrote, "So sad to hear we've lost another 90210 castmate. I had the pleasure of working with Jed Allan from 94 to 99. He played Rush Sanders, Steve's father. Such a great guy to work with, he will be missed."
Ziering also took to social media after the unexpected passing of his co-star Luke Perry. Ziering posted a series of photos at the time, remembering his dear friend.
Allan's son Rick Brown shared the sad news about his father over the weekend. He also confirmed the reports to TMZ.
Brown posted the announcement on Jed Allan's official Facebook fan page on Saturday. He said that Allan had passed away peacefully while surrounded by family.
He wrote, "Thank you for all who are part of this wonderful tribute to my dad on Facebook."
Jed was a busy character actor. He acted on "Days of Our Lives," which he played Don Craig. He also acted on shows like "Santa Barbara," "Lassie," "Columbo," "Adam-12," "Love, American Style," "CHiPs."
He was 82 at the time of his passing. Allan was survived by his three sons from his marriage to Toby Brown, who died in 2001.
Please pray for Allan's family as they mourn his passing. This is a tragic loss for the "Beverly Hills, 90210" family.
