Simple Royal Icing with Powdered Sugar Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 and ½ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons warm water
- ½ tablespoon light corn syrup
- ⅛ teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, light corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the corn syrup has completely dissolved.
- In a medium bowl, combine powdered sugar and water. Mix sugar water and powdered sugar together. Stir well. You can add more water to thin the icing. Add more powdered Sugar if the icing is too thin. Decorate cookies immediately using icing.
To apply the frosting, use a disposable bag or a bag with the corner cut off. Make simple antlers and outline the reindeer’s face using the frosting. You can also make dazzling antlers with mini pretzels.
