Christmas will be especially joyous for Hilton-Rothschild family! Nicky Hilton Rothschild announced on her Twitter that she and her husband James Rothschild just welcomed their second child.
Their second daughter Teddy Marilyn Rothschild was born on December 20th in New York City. The little girl was named after Hilton and sister Paris Hilton‘s paternal grandmother Marilyn June Hawley.
The hotel heiress, 34, and her British banker husband are already parents. They have another little girl, Lily-Grace Victoria, who was born in July 2016.
According to People, Hilton’s family flew from California to NYC to be with Hilton for the birth. A source also told People that the new parents are “so thrilled to give Lily-Grace a baby sister.”
Teddy Marilyn's gender was a surprise to the couple. They told People in November that they were keeping the baby's gender a surprise until the birth. Hilton said they decorated the nursery in all neutral colors.
Nicky's sister Paris carried the mystery into the tea-party themed baby shower she threw for her sister at her mother's mansion in Bel Air. At the November 22nd party, there were pink and blue cakes.
While Hilton said she didn't care whether she was having a little boy or a little girl, she did add “I did love having a sister,” referencing her own childhood.
People also asked her how she thought her 18-month-old Lily-Grace would handle being a big sister. Hilton replied, saying she thinks “she’ll be really sweet.”
“She doesn’t have a jealous bone in her body,” added Hilton. “When I hold other babies, she doesn’t care. She’s very sweet.”
Congratulations to Hilton on the latest addition to her family. We're looking forward to seeing the first pictures of Teddy Marilyn.
