Host Wendy Williams Makes Tearful Announcement on Her Show: ‘God Was Sitting on My Shoulder’

Wendy Williams, an American television host, recently made a heartbreaking announcement on “The Wendy Williams Show.” While filming the show she wept as she spoke about her personal struggles.

The 54-year-old talk-show host revealed that she currently lives in a sober house. Many of her fans know that she was once addicted to cocaine. She has since dedicated much her time to helping others struggling with addiction.

“For some time now, and even today and beyond, I have been living in a sober house,” Williams said with tears in her eyes.

She said, “You know that I have had a struggle to cocaine in my past.” “I never went to a facility to get treatment. I don’t know how. God was just sitting on my shoulders and I just stopped.”

Her daily routine is a fight against addiction. After work, she attends pilates, participates in many meetings, visits with her “brothers, sisters”, who are also fighting addiction, before ending her night at the sober-living home at 10:00 PM.

Williams’ current living situation was not known to her husband or her son until Williams made public the information. Her parents didn’t even know.

In her announcement, she also mentioned The Hunter Foundation, a non-profit that helps youth recover from addiction. Kevin Hunter and her husband are the founders of this organization. A hotline, 888-548-6837, was added by them. This hotline is available to addicts and ex-smokers who need assistance.
