An Aeromexico plane flying over the northern state of Durango has crashed. At least 80 people were reportedly aboard, according to The Independent. Please keep them in your prayers.
The Mexican airline reported that they are aware of the accident and are in the process of verifying information about it. Governor Jose Rosas Aispuro posted on Twitter that there are not yet any official figures on deaths or injuries.
The Durango airport has reported that there were no reports of deaths in the crash, but the airport has been closed.
The images coming through show the tail of a plane bearing the Aeromexico logo emerging from the vegetation, a column of smoke rising in the air.
According to a reporter for the network Milenio, some passengers survived and walked away to get help.
