The legendary man behind some of the most iconic stories of all time has just passed away. Benjamin Melniker has died at the age of 104. Please join us in praying for his family.
Melniker is best known for his time spent working as a producer on nearly every single one of the "Batman" productions. It was even said that without Benjamin there possibly wouldn't have even been the "Batman" movie series!
"Without Melniker, the world may have never seen the 'Batman' films that we are familiar with today. In 1979, he and Uslan bought the movie rights to DC’s caped crusader. This would cement his legacy as a producer on almost all 'Batman' projects from Tim Burton’s 1989 adaptation starring Michael Keaton to Ben Affleck’s iteration in 2017’s 'Justice League.' This also includes animated 'Batman' projects including 'The Lego Batman Movie,' 'Batman: Gotham by Gaslight,' 'Batman: The Killing Joke' as well as the 'Batman: Ninja' movies, reported Page Six.
Benjamin began his career in show business by working for MGM in 1939. Throughout his career, he came to be known as “The MGM Lion” because of his forceful negotiating skills. He had a tremendous reputation and was also known for his integrity.
