Late last year, hearts were broken after the news of famous actress Debbie Reynold’s death was revealed to the public. She reportedly suffered from a stroke and sadly passed away on December 28th of 2016.

The heartbreaking announcement came just one day after the death of her daughter, who was also a famous actress, Carrie Fisher. Fisher died from a heart attack, which is believed to have resulted from intake of multiple drugs.

Fisher was best known for her star role as Princess Leia in “Star Wars.” Her mother, on the other hand, was well-known in a variety of movies.

One of her popular appearances, especially among youth, includes Disney’s fantasy horror series “Halloweentown.” She starred as Grandma Aggie in all four movies alongside Kimberly J. Brown, Judith Hoag, Joey Zimmerman, and Emily Roeske, who played members of her family in the movie.

Kimberly J. Brown, who played the main character Marnie Piper (Grandma Aggie’s granddaughter), made an exciting announcement on August 15th. She revealed that her and the “Halloweentown” cast will reunite at the “Spirit of Halloween” festival on October 14th (a festival recreating the scene of the Disney’s “Halloweentown”) to honor Debbie Reynolds.

She stated, “This year we wanted to do something extra special. As you’re probably aware, unfortunately, late last year we lost the incomparable Debbie Reynolds, who played Grandma Aggie...We wanted to do a special tribute to her...during the lighting ceremony.”

Unfortunately, a legendary NBA player also passed away recently. Please keep his friends and family in your prayers, as well. Thank you!
