The current political climate has seen many celebrities speaking out against Justice Kavanaugh. Many famous people have come out in support of Kavanaugh's accuser, Dr. Christine Ford, and advocated for victims of sexual assault.

Now, one celebrity is taking things a step further. Actress Dakota Johnson says she wants people to tell her their own stories about sexual assault. She has even given out her personal phone number so people can do just that.

"'Fifty Shades of Grey' star Dakota Johnson posted her phone number on social media Monday afternoon, inviting her nearly 3 million followers to leave messages and share their personal stories of sexual violence," according to The Hill.

Johnson went on to address the issue and to also offer her reason for being so passionate about hearing the stories of assault survivors.

"Women and girls in every corner of the world face extreme violence and sexual harassment on a daily basis. Over 800 women and adolescent girls die every day because they do not have access to reliable contraceptives and basic maternity services. I don’t want to speak for you. I want to listen to you. This is my phone number. Tell me your story in my voicemail, and I will listen," she wrote on social media.

When survivors call the number they are sent to a voicemail inbox. According to Johnson, they can leave their messages and in turn, she will "share them with the world."
