One of Hollywood's biggest names just decided to change things up! Dean Cain is now proving that real life action stars do not wear capes.
Cain, best known for playing the iconic hero known as Superman during the 1990s, has decided to become a police officer! He has also chosen to take his oath to protect and serve in Idaho!
"Actor Dean Cain, famous for playing Superman in the mid-90s series 'Lois and Clark,' crossed the thin blue line on Tuesday. He was sworn in as a reserve officer with the Saint Anthony Police Department in Idaho," reported the Daily Caller.
He went on to say that he "had always felt a kind of kinship with military and first responders and that he was proud to be joining them to do his part."
Cain was seen with a huge smile on his face after he was made an official officer. Fans and community members cheered him on and commended him for his selfless service. He even ended the ceremony with an awesome speech.
He said, “Real heroes don’t wear capes. Real Superheroes wear uniforms and badges and stethoscopes! Real superheroes are members of our military, law enforcement, and first responders.”
