The dinner is being held in the honor of the visiting French President, Emanuel Macron. First Lady Melania has taken it upon herself to oversee all of the decor and preparations for the dinner to ensure that it is a successful event.

According to ABC News, there will be 1,200 cherry blossom branches, 2,500 stems of white sweet peas, and 1,000 stems of white lilac present at the event. The Washington National Opera will be performing at the event as well.

The main course includes a rack of spring lamb and Carolina gold rice jambalaya. ABC noted that special wines have been chosen for the event as well, though President Trump does not drink alcohol himself.
