Here’s What Donald Trump Said About Shia LaBeouf Three Years Ago

July 13, 2017Jul 13, 2017

Shia LaBeouf, 31-year-old actor, was arrested in Georgia around 4:00 AM Saturday morning, July 8th of 2017. He was reportedly taken into custody after seen being extremely intoxicated in public. He was released on a $3,5000 bond later the same morning.

Since the arrest, many were appalled by his behavior, leading to a great amount of backlash from the public. However, the actor did release an apology statement on July 12th, owning up to his actions and announcing his struggle with addiction.

Ironically, Donald Trump made a statement about Shia LaBeouf’s issues three years that is completely relevant today, especially after the recent arrest. Trump tweeted, “I know Shia LaBeouf and when sober, a really nice guy. Must get act together fast before too late.” Trump’s previous statement came after LaBeouf’s other drunken behavior-related incidents in the past.

Many Twitter users have replied to the three-year-old tweet following the arrest on July 8th, stating their ‘disbelief’ of Trump’s ironic and accurate ‘prediction’.

The liberal actor has been very open about his hatred towards President Trump. He started the ‘He Will Not Divide Us’ campaign, which was a live stream recording members of the public who were against President Trump saying the words, ‘he will not divide us.’
