Hall of Fame NFL Star Receives Honorary Doctorate Degree

A famous NFL player has just made a major achievement off the field. Now, fans are celebrating with him!

According to reports, Curtis Martin has just received an honorary doctorate degree! It's an awesome award given to an outstanding gentleman.

"Hall of Fame running back Curtis Martin added another accolade to his already incredible career after he received an honorary degree Thursday. The former New York Jets and New England Patriots star received a doctorate of humane letters from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York," according to TMZ Sports.

Martin is a legend in the NFL and especially on the east coast. He played a majority of his career with the New York Jets and also played for the New England Patriots. He was also a five-time Pro Bowl member.

"During the ceremony, Martin was praised for his achievements with the Curtis Martin Job Foundation, which provides financial support to single parents and people with disabilities. His foundation also provides medical help to people living in developing countries," reported Fox.
