Dr. Christine Ford was the first of many women to accuse Judge Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, of sexual assault. Her accusations alleging Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in high school led to a hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee and, additionally, prompted an FBI investigation.

During the hearing, Kavanaugh continued to defend his innocence. In his emotional opening statement, he shared a heart-wrenching story about his 10-year-old daughter — a story that would become the most powerful moment in the Ford-Kavanaugh public hearing.

“The other night, Ashley [my wife] and my daughter Liza said their prayers and little Liza, all of 10 years old, said to Ashley: ‘ We should pray for the woman.’ That’s a lot of wisdom from a 10-year-old,” Kavanaugh said overwhelmed with emotion.

Unfortunately, Democrats stopped to a new low by mocking Kavanaugh’s 10-year-old daughter for her desire to pray for Ford. A cartoonist drew an image of little Liza saying her bedtime prayers asking God to forgive her “angry, lying, alcoholic father for sexually assaulting Dr. Ford.”

After the controversial cartoon went viral, conservative Christian voice Franklin Graham fired back at liberals with a bold message. Instead of attacking back, Graham encouraged our country to pray for everyone involved in the Ford-Kavanaugh situation.

“When Brett Kavanaugh’s daughter Liza said she was going to pray for Mrs. Ford, that warmed my heart, and I’m sure it touched millions of others as well. It’s obvious that this little girl has been brought up right. But wouldn’t you know that the God-haters would use this girl’s prayers to mock her, her faith, and her father,” Graham fired.

“I believe in the power of prayer,” he continued. “I would encourage everyone to continue to pray for this confirmation. Our nation is in trouble—and the battle for the Supreme Court is being fought in full view of all Americans. Pray that God’s will be done.”
