Glenn Beck Suspended From Radio Show For Dangerous Anti-Trump Statements

Glenn Beck has consistently been the most vocal voice in the anti-Trump movement. His disdain for the Republican party nominee has only increased since Ted Cruz and John Kasich bowed out and left Trump without opposition. Instead of helping to create party unity, Beck has felt the need to lead the charge against the man the majority of Republican voters pledged their support to.

Beck’s volatile speech against Trump has not gone unnoticed. According to WND, an interview with a fellow anti-Trump individual was too inflammatory for Sirius XM and the satellite radio company suspended Beck.

Beck had author Brad Thor on his radio show and the two were discussing how they believed that a Trump presidency would be a danger to America and what should be done about it. “I am about to suggest something very bad,” Thor said. “It is a hypothetical I am going to ask as a thriller writer. With the feckless, spineless congress we have, who will stand in the way of Donald Trump overstepping his constitutional authority as president?”

In what many listeners believed was a veiled hint at assassination, Thor said, “If Congress won’t remove him from office, what patriot will step up and do that if he oversteps his mandate as president.”

“If he oversteps that,” Thor continued, “how do we get him out of office? And I don’t think there is a legal means available. I think it will be a terrible, terrible position the American people will be in to get Trump out of office, because you won’t be able to do it through Congress.”

Thor later tried to distance himself on twitter by saying that he didn’t literally talk about assassination. However, back in March, Thor asked the listeners to pray for the men and women tasked with protecting Trump, citing many assassination attempts that he believed would take place.

It appears that Glenn Beck has gone too far. Sirius XM suspended Beck for a week for his inflammatory guests and promoting violent acts.

Do you think that Beck should have been suspended? Do you believe that Thor was hinting at violent overthrow if Trump were elected?
