Legendary Hall of Famer Passes Away, Fans Remember His Glorious Legacy

On Friday, January 18th legendary Hall of Famer Glen Wood passed away. He was 93 years old at the time of his death.

Wood is famously known as one of the family patriarch’s of Wood Brothers Racing Team, but he received several other accomplishments throughout his racing career. According to Fox News, Wood leaves behind “one of the most glorious legacies in sports history.”

In addition to being inducted into NASCAR’s Hall of Fame in 2012, he was also named one of NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers after spending 11 years behind the wheel.

Fellow drivers and NASCAR fans were devastated by the news. Many took to social media to pay a special tribute for Wood and remember his “glorious” legacy.
