Talk of Supreme Court Seat Looms After Developments with Ruth Bader Ginsburg's Health

Ruth Bader Ginsburg seems to be the last stronghold for Democrats as they try holding off Republicans on the Supreme Court. The left-leaning Justice has been an open advocate for the Democratic ideology and has stated that she plans to serve on the court for as long as she can.

However, her health may be failing her sooner than she expected. Ginsburg has already missed appearances on the court for the first time in her career. Now, her long absence has some people very worried.

"Ginsburg, who was forced to miss oral arguments this week, has given no indication that she wants to step down. In fact, before her recent illness, the iconic justice who has served for a quarter century spoke of staying another five years," reported CNN.

The court is set to make key decisions in the next few years as the Trump administration continues their push to create policies and changes for the country. If Ginsburg's health continues to decline, it could be huge news for conservatives. Trump would be able to appoint another conservative justice and the court would be heavily stacked in their favor for the foreseeable future.

"85-year-old Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is missing arguments for the 1st time in more than 25 years as she recuperates from cancer surgery last month. A court spokeswoman says Ginsburg is working from home," reported AP Politics.

"After her bouts with colorectal cancer in 1999 and pancreatic cancer in 2009, Ginsburg demonstrated a remarkable resiliency. Now, a decade later, the outcome of her current health battle is likely to be evident only with more time," wrote CNN.
