“I am always, always, always going to go with the very first time that we see those two together in the diner,” Scott Patterson — who portrayed the Stars Hollow diner owner for seven seasons on The WB series — exclusively told Us Weekly In May 2021, his favorite scene was opposite. It speaks volumes about the sexual tension between them and the way she played it. It was perfect. And it was the moment I realized that I was going to have a lot of fun working with Lauren and that the work was going to be on a very high level.”

Although Luke and Lorelai finally shared their feelings for each other during season 4, it took the pair a while before they could take the next step. Fans were able to see that the couple eventually married in the finale thanks to Netflix’s revival.
“We did it in one of these four [Netflix] chapters,” Patterson exclusively teased his favorite scene with Graham to Us in August 2016. “There are two that are penultimate Luke and Lorelai scenes. It will be the scene that ends all Luke/Lorelai scenes. They are simply amazing. I haven’t seen them, but I’ve been told.”
