On Friday, April 13th, President Donald Trump ordered a military attack against Syria following several warnings Trump issued earlier in the week. Trump’s bold action — along with France and the United Kingdom — came in response to Syria using chemical weapons, reported the Washington Post.
Christian icon Franklin Graham — son of the legendary Rev. Billy Graham — had a faith-filled, Biblical response to President Trump’s actions against Syria. Graham is a well-known, outspoken supporter of the President; he is especially proud of Trump’s strong Christian faith and conservative values.
“Tonight President Donald Trump announced precision strikes against Syria in response to their use of chemical weapons — and he asked us to pray,” Graham said in a statement via social media.
He then reminded America of Trump’s initial words emphasizing prayer and God’s guidance following the attack. Additionally, Graham asked his followers to join him in praying for our country and our allies.
“Trump said ‘Say a prayer for our noble warriors and our allies as they carry out their missions...We pray that God will guide the whole region toward a future of dignity and of peace. And we pray that God will continue to watch over and bless the United States of America.’
“I appreciate the fact that the president recognizes the need for prayer and the importance of prayer. Will you join me in doing what the president has asked — and that is to pray?” Graham ended.
