Franklin Graham Wants America to Pray for One Man, and It's Not President Trump

It is no secret that the world is in desperate need of prayer in our modern day society. Now, Franklin Graham has just asked everyone who follows him to pray for one specific man. Many imagined it would be President Trump, however, Franklin Graham had a different man in mind today.

Graham asked his supporters to pray for Jack Phillips. Phillips is a currently set to argue his case before the Supreme Court this Tuesday concerning religious liberty and faith. Phillips made headlines after he declined to make a cake for a same-sex wedding because it went against his Christian faith.

"But this wasn’t just a business decision. More than anything else, it was a reflection of my commitment to my faith. My religious convictions on this are grounded in the biblical teaching that God designed marriage as the union of one man and one woman," wrote Jack.

"Obviously, not everyone shares those convictions. I don’t expect them to. Each of us makes our own choices; each of us decides how closely we will hold to, defend and live out those choices. The two men who came into my shop that day were living out their beliefs. All I did was attempt to live out mine. I respect their right to choose and hoped they would respect mine," he continued.

Phillips has gained a lot of support form the Christian community for standing firm in his faith and honoring God's word. Even Franklin Graham took to social media to encourage him.

"Pray for Jack Phillips and the attorneys w/@AllianceDefends who are arguing his case before the Supreme Court today. Pray that the Supreme Court will protect religious liberty and people of faith across our nation," wrote Graham.
