Franklin Graham Urges Christians to Stand for the Man Liberals are Trying to Destroy

What if you had to choose between your beliefs and your paycheck? That's the position liberals are putting this Christian man in. Jack Phillips is a Christian baker in Colorado who founded his business to honor God, naming it "Masterpiece Cakeshop." Says Phillips of his cakeshop, “It’s not just the cakes… It’s my faith."

In fact, Phillips sees his cake creations as art, saying recently at his bakery, “It’s more than just a cake, it’s a piece of art in so many ways.” So when a gay couple came to him asking him to bake them a wedding cake, Phillips felt he could not use his art and his God-dedicated cakeshop to go against his faith.

This one act of conscience has indefinitely changed Phillip's life. Shares the New York Times, "The couple he refused to serve, David Mullins and Charlie Craig, filed civil rights charges. They said they had been demeaned and humiliated as they sought to celebrate their union."

The couple insisted that they didn't ask him for art, just a cake. But Phillips sees everything he does, especially his business, as the expression of his faith: “I’m being forced to use my creativity, my talents and my art for an event — a significant religious event — that violates my religious faith,” Mr. Phillips said.

And while the offended couple says the denial is a direct discrimination on them, Phillips says it's not about them, it's about the principle: “I’ll make you birthday cakes, shower cakes, cookies, brownies,” Mr. Phillips said. “I just can’t make a cake for a same-sex wedding.”

Now Phillips has since been put out of business and is going to fight this battle of faith and conscience at the Supreme Court level, shares Franklin Graham in this powerful Facebook post.

Graham urges Christian to stand for Phillips, as he fighting a battle that could very well affect each of us in years to come. If the Supreme Court rules against Phillip's right to freedom of speech, then all Christians in the future could be forced to do and say things that go against their beliefs, so long as they are considered "discriminatory."

Will you stand with Phillips? Please post your support and prayers in the comments and share this with your friends! This is a very pivotal battle in America's future. Graham recently also went toe to toe with the liberal faction that is trying to stir up racial division in America.
