Evangelist Franklin Graham delivered an honest and encouraging message to Rosie O’Donnell after the TV star wrote viciously of House Speaker Paul Ryan following the passage of the Republican-led tax-cut bill. According to CBN News, the exchange carried out through social media.
Ryan posted a video on Twitter Saturday expressing his view that Christmas is a time to remember the source of the holiday—the birth of our Savior.
He wrote, “At the end of each year, no matter how short—or long—it may feel, there is always Christmas. Waiting for us is that sense of wonder the shepherds felt when the angels appeared in the night sky to herald the birth of a Savior.”
O’Donnell, the ex-View host, lit into Ryan over her frustration regarding the tax-cut bill that was passed through a Republican-led Congress. Her words were vicious.
“paul ryan – don’t talk about Jesus after what u just did to our nation – u will go straight to hell u screwed up fake altar boy.”
In response to O’Donnell’s words, Graham addressed his thoughts through Facebook. Sharing the message of the Gospel, he shared the need we all have for Jesus as our Savior.
“I hope one day you will put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ and let Him heal your heart, clean up your mouth, and forgive your sins,” Graham wrote.
He went further, saying, “Hell is going to be filled with people who rejected God’s offer of salvation and turned their backs on His laws and standards, refusing to repent. Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, and He took your sins and mine to the Cross, dying in our place, so that we might live—if we would turn from our sins and put our faith in Him.”
Please pray for O’Donnell and for our country, that we would repent and discover Jesus as our Savior. In recent news, a massive roadside bomb killed six children.
