Over the weekend, a massive controversy broke out after comedian Michelle Wolf blasted President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, and White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders at Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Although the annual event typically involves some lighthearted “roasting” of the president and his administration, many agreed that Wolf took her “jokes” way too far.

Wolf targeted Sanders' looks, called her a "disappointment to all white women," compared her to Aunt Lydia from "The Handmaid's Tale," and insisted she was a liar. In addition, she mocked Pence for his Christian view on abortion and took several shots at Trump. CNN even ran a story about how Wolf was a "bully" and implied that many of her "jokes" were out of line.

Franklin Graham, son of the legendary Rev. Billy Graham, spoke out about the Wolf controversy on Sunday. In his statement, he suggested that the President deserves an apology, and additionally, Graham had some strong words about Christian values.

Graham referred to Wolf’s speech as “shameful, unprofessional, indecent, filthy, offensive,” and an “embarrassment to our nation.” He was fired up at the fact that this comedian was even chosen to speak at the event.

“The leadership of the White House press corps should issue an apology to [President Donald Trump] and the entire nation,” he added.

“Wolf even ‘joked’ about the killing of babies as she mocked Vice President Pence’s position against abortion,” Graham continued. “What gall.”

“I have news for her — Mike Pence isn’t the only one who believes abortion is murder; I believe it is, millions of Americans believe it is, and most importantly so does God,” he assured.
