Franklin Graham is a respected figure across the globe. His teachings on Jesus and Christian values have helped millions of people grow with their own faith in God.
Now, Franklin is opening up in a major way about a controversial topic that is making headlines around the world. According to the New York Times, the Church of England is encouraging children to explore their creative self-imaginations and gender identities.
The Church of England said on Monday that children should be able to “play with the many cloaks of identity” in the classroom. The topic created a major divide among traditional conservative values and shifting liberal approaches to handling today’s culture that’s fallen away from God’s teaching.
“For example, a child may choose the tutu, princess’s tiara and heels and/or the fireman’s helmet, tool belt and superhero cloak without expectation or comment. Childhood has a sacred place for creative self-imagining,” the Church of England said. “The Church of England schools offer a community where everyone is a person known and loved by God, supported to know their intrinsic value.”
Now, Franklin Graham is responding and Christians across the nation are praising him for his strong stand on God’s teaching. The following came from a Facebook post that Graham wrote on Tuesday:
“I’m in London, on my way home today, and the Archbishop of Canterbury is in the news for endorsing a Church of England document that says children should be able to try out the ‘many cloaks of identity’ and ‘explore the possibilities of who they might be without judgement or derision.’ I’m against bullying of any kind, but children must be taught God’s truth. God ‘created them male and female’ (Gen 5:2). The Church of England should not give in to the sinful, destructive, anti-God agenda of the LGBTQ—they should stand with God’s Word,” concluded Franklin.
