Last week, news broke that former quarterback Tim Tebow suffered an injury during Thursday evening’s game. The current outfielder for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies was reported to be facing serious discomfort in his right hand.
On Monday, new reports revealed that Tebow had a broken hamate bone that would require surgery. The unfortunate news came shortly after Tebow was picked for a 2018 All-Star team and was believed to be headed towards the majors.
Tebow, well-known for his outspoken Christian faith, received an overwhelming amount of support from his fans and friends. Franklin Graham, son of the legendary Billy Graham, was one of many who requested prayers for Tebow as he headed into surgery on Tuesday.
“Our friend Tim Tebow broke a bone in his right hand and is scheduled for surgery tomorrow,” Graham said in a social media statement. “Join me in praying for this incredible young man.”
Dozens of fans responded to Graham’s post with their well wishes and prayers for the young sports star.
