Franklin Graham Fights Back After Walmart's Decision to Sell 'Impeach 45' Apparel, Makes Bold Suggestion

In recent days, Walmart was the center of a major controversy surrounding their decision to sell “IMPEACH 45” apparel — making a public, political statement against President Donald Trump. The retail chain faced a massive amount of backlash including a boycott from Trump supporters.

As previously reported, Walmart responded to the backlash by disabling the links to purchase that particular clothing line. However, an official statement was never issued.

Following the outrage, Franklin Graham — son of the legendary Rev. Billy Graham — offered a bold suggestion for Walmart. Instead of selling products that promote impeaching the President of the United States, Graham suggested that Walmart sell products that promote a positive message — like prayer.

“Walmart was in the news today for selling a t-shirt online that promotes ‘IMPEACH 45.’ That brought about a boycott against them, & rightfully so,” Graham began. “I’m glad they’ve removed the shirts from their online store pending review—a good move on their part.”

“How about promoting something that can really make a difference—PRAYER!” he boldly suggested. “Rather than criticizing and tearing down the president, we need to pray for him and our other leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-2).”
