Franklin Graham Fearlessly Asks America One Bold Question Amid Hurricane Florence Catastrophe

Residents along the East Coast are currently preparing for the life-threatening, catastrophic Category 4 Hurricane Florence, which is predicted to make landfall Thursday or Friday. President Donald Trump sent an urgent warning to those in the path of the dangerous hurricane on Wednesday morning, insisting that the storm will likely be more damaging than initially expected.

Franklin Graham, son of the legendary Rev. Billy Graham, also commented on Florence. Amidst the terrifying hurricane update, Graham reacted with a very bold and Biblical response.

“Hurricane Florence is headed for the East Coast. It’s all over the news, and forecasters say that it could be one of the most catastrophic hurricanes to hit the Eastern Seaboard in decades,” Graham began. “Stores are selling out of batteries, food, water, and supplies as people try to prepare.”

Graham continued with a Biblical message: “We take lots of time to prepare for the storms we see, but the Bible tells us there can be storms in life that are bigger than rain, wind and caves. David experienced many storm in his life, but through them he trusted the Lord as his shepherd.”

He then asked America one bold question with the motivation of leading them to Christ, “Is the Lord your shepherd today?”

Graham ended his post with verses 1 and 4 from Psalm 23. Psalm 23 is a wildly popular Psalm of David in the Bible and is often recognized as “The Lord is My Shepherd.” Read the entire chapter below:

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
