Franklin Graham Mourns the Lost Lives from Duck Boat Accident, Pleads for Prayers

On Thursday, July 19th, a horrific tourist boat accident tragically claimed the lives of multiple people located in the midwest; authorities referred to the situation as a “mass casualty incident.” Additionally, others were hospitalized and injured as a result of the accident.

As previously reported, an unexpected, powerful thunderstorm swept through Table Rock Lake near Branson, Missouri. The storm caused the boat to capsize and sink, which left more than two dozen people fighting for their lives amidst chaotic winds and rapid waters. 17 of them, unfortunately, did not make it. Following the great tragedy, many prominent names responded to the accident including President Donald Trump. Trump released a heartfelt statement expressing his “deepest sympathies” and encouraging God’s presence to be with all of the victims and their families.

On Saturday, July 21st, conservative Christian Franklin Graham, famously known as the legendary Rev. Billy Graham’s son, also responded to the tragic news in a faith-filled statement on social media.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who tragically lost their lives in the duck boat accident in Missouri,” Graham told his followers. “I can’t begin to express the sorrow in my heart for these grieving loved ones.”

Graham also pleaded to our nation for prayers: “I know the families would appreciate your prayers.”
