You know Franklin Graham will most likely applaud something if Hollywood is in staunch opposition. Their values are basically as diametrically opposed as you can get. And here is a shining example of that.
This week, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signed the most intense abortion ban in the nation. She virtually banned all abortions, making it a felony for a doctor to perform one. This is unprecedented, and that is essentially Alabama's goal: to get Roe v. Wade taken to the United States Supreme Court, as they knows the legislation will be sued.
But Ivey's aim is also one of core integrity. Regardless of what happens with SCOTUS, Ivey is standing for what she believes. She said of the law, “To the bill’s many supporters, this legislation stands as a powerful testament to Alabamians’ deeply held belief that every life is precious and that every life is a sacred gift from God."
While Hollywood is basically rending their garments (one celebrity said, "We are living in a nightmare"), Graham loudly praised Governor Ivey, describing her as "a governor who's got guts."
Here, Graham lauds Ivey and prays that her bold move will motivate other pro-life governors. "I’m thankful for Governor Kay Ivey—she’s a governor who’s got guts!" writes Graham on Facebook. "And I'm grateful for every Alabama lawmaker who was bold enough to vote for this legislation enacting a near-total ban on the killing of babies by abortion in their state. Gov. Ivey said, 'this legislation stands as a powerful testament to Alabamians’ deeply held belief that every life is precious and that every life is a sacred gift from God.' I hope and pray many other governors will be encouraged by her boldness and do the
Hollywood lit up social media this week with loud cries of injustice (which is so weird, considering this is about babies not being killed). Here are some of the dramatic tweets.
No doubt this war isn't over; it really has just begun with Ivey's bold move. We will most likely see this case argued out in the United States Supreme Court. Will you pray that babies will win out in the end and God will be honored? Share your thoughts and prayers in the comments! We want to hear! Thank you so much.
