The royal family has had much to celebrate recently. On Monday, Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed their third child into the world! Next month, Prince Harry will marry American actress Meghan Markle.
Additionally, over the weekend Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 92nd birthday! The Queen is the longest reigning monarch in history, and she has now entered another year of her long and successful life.
Along with many others sending messages of congratulations and well-wishes to the Queen, Franklin Graham made a heartfelt post on social media as well. Graham wanted to wish Queen Elizabeth a happy birthday and share some of her powerful, faith-filled words.
Franklin’s father, world-famous evangelist Billy Graham, was great friends with Queen Elizabeth throughout his life. They reportedly become friends in the 1950s when the Queen was only 29 years old.
Sadly, Billy Graham passed away last month at the age of 99. Now, Franklin has shared an old photograph of the Queen with his father, Billy Graham.
The social media post said, “Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II turned 92 this past weekend- I hope she had a happy birthday!”
He continued, “She once said, ‘He [Jesus Christ] knew rejection, hardship, and persecution. And yet it is Jesus Christ’s generous love and example which has inspired me through good times and bad.’”
