Franklin Graham, the son of the legendary Rev. Billy Graham, is a favorite conservative voice among Christian audiences. Graham, an outspoken Trump supporter, is known for his commentary supporting the present-day administration, but he also isn’t hesitant to publicly disagree with Trump on certain political matters.

Over the weekend, Graham posted an important reminder regarding today’s politics. According to Graham, D.C. has become “dysfunctional” and “a place of wicked politics” over time.

Because of this, Americans have a duty to pray for our government leadership. It is important that we pray for our president, vice president, senate, and congress members regardless of their identity or political association.

“Wash[ington] DC has become so dysfunctional, a place of wicked politics, [deceit] and lies. Will you join me in praying for our leaders?” Graham asked his social media followers.

“Pray for President Donald Trump, that God would put protection around him and give him wisdom. Pray for Vice President Mike Pence, our reps in the Senate and Congress,” he added.
