A famous mob boss was recently gunned down in New York. According to reports, Francesco Cali was shot multiple times in front of his Staten Island home.

"New York police are hunting the hitman who pumped at least six bullets into Francesco 'Franky Boy' Cali before making sure the 53-year-old Gambino mob boss was dead by running over him with a blue pickup truck as the assassin fled, officials and witnesses, said," reported Fox.

Now, police have arrested one man in connection with the slaying. Anthony Comello has been arrested by police and is being charged for the death of the infamous mob boss.

"Cali became the notorious crime family’s acting boss in 2015, replacing then 68-year-old Domenico Cefalu, according to the New York Daily News. Federal prosecutors in Brooklyn had referred to Cali in court filings in recent years as the underboss of the Gambino organization, related through marriage to the Inzerillo clan in the Sicilian Mafia," reported Fox.

Cali was very unique in the way he handled his family business. He kept a low profile and was definitely not as flashy as some of his predecessors, including John Gotti. Many considered him a unifying member of the mafia and credited him with being one of the most powerful leaders of all criminal organizations in America.

Comello appeared in court this week for the first time since the incident. However, he did something that is causing a lot of controversies online.

He displayed his hand during the court proceedings and revealed a lot of writing on his palm. Many speculated about his messages and wondered why he had written them for all to see. The words "MAGA Forever" and "United We Stand" are clearly visible. Other writing also appears to be on his skin but is hard to read.

"Anthony Comello faced a New Jersey judge Monday and displayed his left palm with words written with a blue ballpoint pen. A court officer scoffed at Comello -- who was arrested and taken into custody over the weekend -- asking him why he was waving his hand to reporters. His response ... 'Why? I'm handcuffed,' suggesting he couldn't do any harm by showcasing his palm," reported TMZ.

Reports state that Comello may have been trying to date the niece of Frank Cali. At this time, his motive still remains unclear. He has received serious threats concerning the incident and police have placed him in protective custody.
