On Monday, former NFL quarterback Michael Vick made an exciting announcement. In the midst of much controversy that surrounds Vick's name, he finally has some good news to share. Vick's wife, Kijafa, took to Instagram to share an adorable photo of their newborn son and his father.
Kijafa announced the birth of Michael Jr., the namesake of his father. To introduce Michael Jr. to the world, Kijafa posted a photo of the two Michaels together.
She said, "Christmas came early for us this year."
The couple met in 2002. At the time, Vick was playing football in the NFL for the Atlanta Falcons. He had been selected as a first overall pick in the 2001 NFL draft.
After 6 years with the Falcons and 3 Pro Bowls, Vick's life changed dramatically when he had a run-in with the law. His football career halted and he spent 21 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to being involved in a dog fighting ring. A few years later, in 2009, Vick returned to football and was signed to the Philadelphia Eagles.
In 2012, Michael and Kijafa got married. Later, they appeared on VH1's "Baller Wives." After five years of marriage, they made the announcement that they were expecting their third child together.
Michael Jr. will join siblings Jada and London, as well as Mitez, from Michael's previous relationship. Congrats to the couple on their growing family! In other breaking news, ISIS supporters just called for the assassination of Barron Trump.
