Former NBA Player, New York Knicks Star Dead After Cardiac Arrest

A former basketball player for the Ne York Knicks has just passed away. Cal Ramsey died on Monday at the age of 81.

"The Knicks said he died of cardiac arrest at The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation and Healing Center in Manhattan," reported PIX11.

Cal was originally born in Selma, Alabama. He came to New York in the 50s to play basketball at NYU. He has since been inducted into the school's Hall of Fame.

Cal was a big celebrity in New York. He had a successful career in the Big Apple while playing for the Knicks. Also, he was a legend with NYU after starring for the college team.

"After his playing career, Ramsey worked for the organization as a color analyst and later in community relations. He served as a Knicks ambassador for the last 28 years and also had remained on NYU’s basketball staff since 1983," according to reports.
