Hurricane Florence Death Toll Reaches 3, Mom & Infant Tragically Killed in Catastrophic Storm

On Friday morning, September 14th, life-threatening Hurricane Florence finally made landfall as a Category 1 storm near Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Although the hurricane drastically decreased from a Category 4 before striking the East Coast, it still brought a significant amount of damage.

As reported earlier, Florence dragged in 90+ mph winds and still poses life-threatening storm surges. The dangerous weather conditions are expected to last for a course of several days.

Unfortunately, at least three people have been killed as a result of the storm as of Friday afternoon. Among the three are a mother and infant child.

According to NBC News, the mom and baby died after a tree fell on top of their home. Their names and ages were not immediately released to the public. Another woman, whose name and age was also not given, died in the storm after suffering an undisclosed medical condition.
