Fans of HGTV’s house-flipping shows, get prepared for an exciting announcement! On August 8th, newly-divorced Tarek and Christina El Moussa shared some major news that left fans ecstatic.
In a video announcement posted on social media, the ex-couple revealed that they will return for season 8 despite their recent divorce. Their divorce was finalized earlier this year.
“Guess who’s back?” Christina asked their fans.
“I know we've been around for a really, really long time, but we are back. We’re ready to flip some houses!” Tarek added.

According to TODAY, both Tarek and Christina are in the talks of pursuing television series of their own. It is unclear how their new shows will impact “Flip or Flop.”
In the meantime, their divorce has actually improved ratings. Reports from entertainment news outlets showed the drama surrounding their divorce partially contributed to a viewership increase of 18% during season 7.
