Over the last several weeks, Americans around the nation have been praying for First Lady Melania Trump as she has been in recovery. In mid-May, the First Lady’s office made the announcement that she had undergone a serious kidney surgery and that she would be hospitalized for several days.
The news came as a shock to many, and people immediately took to social media to send their thoughts and prayers toward the First Lady. According to reports, Melania was able to return to the White House on Saturday, May 19.
Sadly, instead of being able to focus only on recovery, First Lady Melania, President Trump, and First Daughter Ivanka were all forced to still the many rumors that surrounded Melania’s hospitalization. The mainstream media was reporting false accusations as to why she had been hospitalized in the first place and where she was staying for recovery.
Now, those rumors have hopefully been put to rest. On May 30, Melania took to social media to address the rumors herself.
She said, “I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I’m doing. Rest assured, I’m here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!”
Now, First Lady Melania has made her first public appearance since her hospitalization. On Monday night, she hosted a private reception for Gold Star families.
She said, “It was a privilege to welcome Gold Star Families to the White House today to recognize our nation’s fallen heroes and their families. Thank you to those who joined us this evening and to the men and women currently serving overseas and to their families, thank you for your service.”
After the photos were posted, many commenters reached out with excitement about the first lady’s return! Of course, they also noted her continued stunning style and graceful demeanor.
Please continue praying for the First Family as they embrace a full recovery and continue to dispel rumors. Share your thoughts about Melania’s first public appearance with us!
