FBI Thwarts Terrorist Attack In Wisconsin. Can You Guess Who Is Responsible?

A man from Milwaukee was formally charged with unlawfully possessing a machine gun and receiving and possessing firearms not registered to him.

The charges against 23 year old Samy Mohamed Hamzeh came after a long undercover investigation by the FBI.  According to Fox News, FBI agents have been watching Hamzeh since last September when they learned of his plans to travel to Israel to attack Israeli soldiers and citizens.

Hamzeh didn’t go through with his plans because of “family, financial, and logistic reasons.”  According to the affidavit, Hamzeh decided to carry out a terrorist attack on U.S. soil.  He told his plans to two FBI informants.

“I am telling you, if this hit is executed, it will be known all over the world.  All the Mujahedeen will be talking and they will be proud of us,” Hamzeh said.  “Such operations will increase in America, when they hear about it.  The people will be scared and the operations will increase.  This way we will be igniting it.  I mean we are marching at the front of the war.”

The “hit” that Hamzeh planned to carry out involved slaughtering as many innocent civilians as they could at a local Masonic temple.  Hamzeh planned to have one person stationed at the front door while the other two systematically went through the building, killing everyone.

To carry out this horrific attack, Hamzeh told the informants that they needed two more machine guns and some silencers.  The FBI arrested Hamzeh when he showed up with cash and paid for the weapons.

Hamzeh hoped to kill at least 30 people to show that “nobody can play with Muslims.”

Hamzeh left no doubt as to why he was going to carry out his terrorist attack.  “We are here defending Islam,” Hamzeh said, “Young people together join to defend Islam, that’s it, that is what our intention is.”
