FBI Offers $15,000 Reward for Info on Missing Boy Who Saw Dad Gunned Down

The FBI is asking for the nation’s help in finding a 14-year-old boy who went missing after witnessing his dad get shot to death. And 6 people, including the boy’s mother, have now been indicted in connection with the killing.

Jacob Lee Caldwell of Sugarcreek Township, Ohio was with two of his siblings when they saw their dad, Robert Caldwell, gunned down in broad daylight in a parking lot on the outskirts of Dayton. According to the Dayton Daily News, this happened in August of last year, But after Jacob was sent to live with his grandparents, he reportedly ran away and has not been seen since.

Meanwhile, this Tuesday, Jacob’s mother Tawnney Caldwell and five other people were indicted under the suspicion that they were behind the shooting death of Jacob’s dad. According to the Journal-News, the six suspects face a variety of charges from murder to illegal gun possession to intimidating witnesses.

More than six months since the shooting, young Jacob’s whereabouts are unknown. The FBI says he could be anywhere but are now offering anyone in the public up to $15,000 for information that can lead them to Jacob.

When he was last seen in August, Jacob had blonde hair and blue eyes. He’s white, weighed 100 pounds, and was 5 feet, 2 inches tall.

The FBI is warning the public, though, that Jacob’s appearance could be altered. They believe someone knows where he is because they think he’s been getting help.
