Fat Joe is a long ways from retiring.
In a recent interview, he was asked if he would put the mic down soon.
“I don’t believe so. I mean, I’m really good at this sh*t, man. He added that he was on time. “I know when rappers must give it up. We looked up to a lot of legends who were the best in the world. [but]They were not on the same page with everything and didn’t follow the flow as they were when they were younger. They sounded old. […]Fat Joe knows everything. I’m pushing P right here.”
Fat Joe feels that he hasn’t been given the credit that he deserves.
“I never get credit that I deserve.” He said, “You don’t get credit that you deserve.” “But that’s the sh*t that keeps us going […]It wasn’t music that I did for a living for the past 10+ years when I was doing it. It’s 20 years ago, and it’s 30 years from now. I do it for the kids who have no opinion, no bias, no crew, and no team. When they start studying hip hop in 20, 30 years from now, when they do the math, they’re gonna be like, ‘This is one nasty mutherf*cker out here. He was doing that hard work. For me, that’s what it’s all about.”
