One of the biggest names in the world of fashion has just passed away. Huber de Givenchy, the famous designer behind the iconic brand, has died at age 91.
He was famous for his high-class looks and iconic stylings. He even worked with designers like Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, and Jackie Kennedy.
"It is with huge sadness that we inform you that Hubert Taffin de Givenchy has died," the fashion house said.
One of the most famous looks that Givenchy created came to be known as the "little black dress." It was worn by Hepburn in the opening scene of Breakfast at Tiffany's and has been a fashion staple ever since.
"It was... an enormous help to know that I looked the part... Then the rest wasn't so tough anymore. Givenchy's lovely simple clothes gave me the feeling of being whoever I played...," Hepburn previously said of the designer.
"RIP to a true fashion legend. Hubert de Givenchy passes away at 91. He gave us countless iconic looks, including those worn by his muse, Audrey Hepburn," wrote one Twitter user.
Hubert was an artist at heart. He also worked alongside Pierre Balmain and Christian Dior after World War Two. He was also responsible for making new trends in fashion, like introducing "suit separates" for example.
