Sarah Palin isn’t feeling too great. Not after she claims she was duped by comedian Sacha Baron Cohen for a Showtime series he’s organized called “Who Is America?”
According to Palin’s account, Cohen and an unnamed daughter traveled across the country to be interviewed by Cohen, who was dressed in disguise as a “disabled US Veteran, fake wheelchair and all.”
The interview, which Palin thought would honor veterans, turned into what she claimed was “full of Hollywoodism’s disrespect and sarcasm.”
She said she finally had had enough. She removed her mic and walked out, according to PEOPLE.
“The disrespect of our U.S. military and middle-class Americans via Cohen’s foreign commentaries under the guise of interview questions was perverse,” she wrote.
In return for the offensive interview, Palin laid down a challenge to Cohen and Showtime: to donate all the proceeds of the show to a charity “that actually respects and supports American Vets.”
“Mock politicians and innocent public personalities all you want, if that lets you sleep at night, but HOW DARE YOU mock those who have fought and served our country,” she wrote, adding, “Truly sick.”
To make matters worse, Palin claims that the production team purposely dropped her and her daughter off at the wrong airport, which made her miss her flight.
