On Thursday morning, "The View" co-host Sara Haines said goodbye to the show after a two year run. The talk show host will soon team up with Michael Strahan for a new show called GMA DAY, report E News.

Fellow co-host Whoopi Goldberg gave a short intro before playing a highlight reel of Haines' best moments on The View.

"I knew this one was meant to sit at the table since the first time she guest hosted—co-hosted on The View—and we wanted to show you a couple reasons why this breakup is so hard," Goldberg said.

Before the video even started playing, Haines was already dabbing her eyes with a tissue. The clip included Haines discussing PTSD in veterans, announcing the gender of her baby, and dancing in front of Jennifer Lopez.

As the video concluded, the audience began chanting "Sara! Sara!" Her co-hosts Goldberg, Joy Behar, Meghan McCain, and Sunny Hostin all gave her a standing ovation.

"It has been an honor, a privilege, and an absolute dream to work here at this show," said Haines of her time on "The View."

She also revealed that she'd gained lifelong friends through working on the show. She praised each of them as "strong, empowered, opinionated women."

She added, "For anyone who has ever played a sport knows that the best team members are the ones who lift you up and make you better. You guys did that for me."

Fans on social media are crying right along with Haines. They took to Twitter to share how deeply their mourning her loss. Many of them said that they were in tears at the news.

Fellow co-host Meghan McCain also mourned her departure on social media.

She wrote, "I will miss you terribly @sarahaines - you are all sunshine and it has been an absolute pleasure working with you. Can’t wait to watch you and @michaelstrahan on Good Morning America Day!"

The forty-year-old journalist was also a correspondent for TODAY and ABC News. She married her husband, Max Shifrin, in 2014. They have two children together.
