One of Hollywood’s most recognizable actors has announced that his home was burned down during a recent wildfire. The news comes as wildfires threaten many other properties in the area.

Johnny Galecki, who plays on the show Big Bang Theory, announced that his home was destroyed by the massive brushfire still burning on the California coast. Luckily, Galecki was not at the home during the incident.

His house was and other buildings in San Luis Obispo were devastated by the flames. San Luis Obispo sits approximately halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Galecki, who plays Dr. Leonard Hofstadter on the Big Bang Theory, issued a touching statement. Fans flocked to social media to show him support.

Galecki said his "heart goes out to all in the area who are also experiencing loss from this vicious fire."

He went on to say “It’s never the structures that create a community — it’s the people. And if the people of Santa Margarita have taught me anything it’s that, once the smoke has cleared, literally and figuratively, it’s a time to reach out and rebuild.”

“We’ve done it before, and will need to do it together again, and it will make our community even closer and stronger. Endless thanks to CalFire and the Sheriff’s Office. I know you guys are fighting the good fight to keep us safe. So very relieved no one has been hurt,” he concluded.

Please join us in praying for the safety of all the brave men and women who are battling the fire. We also ask for God’s comfort upon those who have lost their homes.
