A scary news story has just been reported that has left a famous talk show host hospitalized. According to reports, Steve Wilkos, from "The Steve Wilkos Show," is receiving medical treatment after a terrible car wreck.

Reports state that Wilkos was involved in a single car crash. It is being reported that he ran off the road, hit several poles and a tree, and flipped his car!

"Law enforcement sources in Darien, Connecticut tell us Wilkos was involved in a single-car accident Sunday afternoon. We're told his vehicle struck several poles and a tree before ending up on its side ... Wilkos was transported to a local hospital for his injuries but has since been discharged," reported TMZ.

Wilkos rose to fame during his time spent on the Jerry Springer show. While on Springer, Wilkos played a bodyguard and gained fame. He has since gone on to host his own television program that is similar in style to the Springer show.

Reports are coming in that while the accident was serious, Wilkos is said to be okay. He told TMZ he typically wears glasses when he drives, but he was not wearing them before the crash. He says he was reaching for his glasses to put them on when he hit the curb and then struck the poles and a tree.

Sadly, another devastating wreck also occurred in the same area with another connection to Wilkos. Apparently, Wilkos said his audio guy on the show and the crew member's wife were driving in the same area when they crashed -- both were killed.

Wilkos said he does not drive after drinking and is standing firm that his wreck was accidental. Please join us in praying for his speedy recovery, and for the family members and friends of the deceased crew member and his wife. May God's grace comfort them through this tragedy.
