Famous Singer Hit With Backlash After Saying We Should Kill All NRA Members

A famous singer is being hit with a backlash Friday after suggesting that the solution to preventing more mass shootings is to line up all the members of the National Rifle Association and shoot them to death.

59 people were killed and more than 500 were injured Sunday after a gunman opened fire on a country music concert in Las Vegas. Many on the left were quick to call for more gun control, but that call hit the level of pure lunacy after one singer suggested that in order to prevent more shooting deaths in America, we need to kill the 5 million members of the NRA.

77-year-old Nancy Sinatra, daughter of the late Frank Sinatra, made the suggestion on Twitter Thursday, writing, “The murderous members of the NRA should face a firing squad.”

The tweet was later deleted, according to Fox News. But according to The Blaze, she did first clarify what she said after receiving an immediate backlash.

“You’re violence is noted!” wrote @JoniePEI. “Tweeting something vile. I’m not even a gun person but I don’t generalize about every 1 who has a gun as murderous.”

Sinatra replied, “I didn’t say every one, I said the ‘murderous members of the NRA.’”

“That makes you every bit as horrible as you believe them,” pointed out Jeffrey Churchill.

“Whatever you say,” Sinatra replied.

Donald Trump Jr. had a sarcastic response, writing, “So she only wants 5,000,000 of 50,000,000 dead??? Left wing media: Nancy Sinatra saves millions of lives.”

According to The Hill, Sinatra’s tweet didn’t go viral until Trump Jr. commented on it. Many other people later weighed in as well, pointing out a fundamental flaw in her gun control statement:
