A three-time Olympic gold medalist is now opening up about sexual abuse. Aly Raisman, the famous gymnast, says she was sexually abused by former USA Gymnastics doctor, Larry Nassar.

Nassar is currently in jail and awaiting sentencing. He recently admitted guilt to possession child images last summer. He has also been accused already of sexually abusing nine other gymnasts.

125 women and girls have alleged abuse in total. Raisman is now coming forward as sexual abuse allegations bombard the media from across the globe, especially from Hollywood.

“I am angry,” Raisman told “60 Minutes” in an interview scheduled to air on Sunday. “I'm really upset because it's been -- I care a lot you know, when I see these young girls that come up to me, and they ask for pictures or autographs, whatever it is, I just -- I can't -- every time I look at them, every time I see them smiling, I just think -- I just want to create change so that they never, ever have to go through this.”

Raisman was first treated by Nassar when she was 15 years old. When her fellow teammates have come forward about Nassar in the past, Raisman supported them and posted photos in support of them on her social media accounts. Now, she is speaking up herself.

The new information comes after a multitude of reports against the doctor. The USA Gymnastics organization recently reached out to comment on the statements.

“USA Gymnastics is very sorry that any athlete has been harmed,” the organization stated. “We want to work with Aly and all interested athletes to keep athletes safe.”
