Joining other celebrities making efforts to help victims of Hurricane Harvey, country music singer-songwriter Miranda Lambert is now lending a hand. The musician is with her foundation, Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation, to help rescue displaced dogs.

The foundation announced that they would go to South Texas just a few days after the storm hit. Now, they are in Conroe, Texas. Joining the other rescuers is Miranda Lambert herself.

The team has already rescued 72 dogs, but Lambert said that "there are so many more." Updates have been added to both Lambert's Instagram account and to the MuttNation Foundation's Instagram.

Not only is the singer transporting the animals, she is also providing shelter for them in her bus. Just after being rescued, one dog gave birth. Lambert took in the puppies and named one of them after country music icon Ashley Monroe.

The team has no immediate plans to leave and will continue evacuating displaced dogs.
