Famous Irish Actress Dies at Age 91

Love for cinema and film can be found in nearly every place on the globe. For fans of cinema, especially those in Ireland, it was tough to hear the news that a famous Irish actress has just passed away.

Doreen Keogh, most famous for her role on Coronation Street, has sadly passed away. She was 91 at the time of her death. At this time, we ask that you please keep her family in your prayers. We also pray for God's grace to comfort them through this transition.

Doreen was a wonderful person who had a very successful career in the entertainment industry. She played in a number of films and was lucky enough to be critically acclaimed.



"She is known for the parts she played in prominent TV series including Coronation Street, Ballykissangel, Father Ted, The Royle Family, Cold Feet, Fair City, Z Cars, Crossroads and others," according to the BBC.


Off camera, Doreen also took to the theater. It was reported by BBC that she also had many stage and film roles, including a part in the 1960 Blake Edwards-directed musical Darling Lili with Julie Andrews and Rock Hudson.
